Drinking Water Quality

Providing safe drinking water to the citizens of St. Marys has been and always will be our main goal.  Drinking water quality, regulated by Ohio EPA and USEPA through the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), is addressed in many ways, from routine testing by laboratory analysts at the Water Treatment Plant, to monitoring for more than 130 complex contaminants according to EPA requirements and schedules.  The City of St. Marys Water Treatment Plant continues to meet all Federal and State drinking water standards, reflecting the dedication all our employees have for the community.
